Our buyer (whom God preserve*) has just been responsible for a slight spanner entering the works.

He is apparently not yet fully removed from the title of his previous mortgage (where he had bought with two friends)

He is at the final stage of doing so.

It is a condition of his mortgage to buy our house that he not be on the other one.

We have not exchanged contracts today.

A fax has been sent from his solicitor to his mortgage company stating that he is in the last stage of removal.

We now wait until Monday.

* So that I can mash him into tiny bits personally.

* presumably "preserve him so you can kill him later yourself".

Or leave a dead fish up one of the curtain rails.

Wedged behind a radiator would be really good, as the heating would probably on when it was first smelt, so he'd have to put up with it whilst the radiator cooled down in order to remove it.

...mash him into tiny bits...
