Now this is admittedly a self-selected sample of those who read a liberal, satirical comic strip (and do so on-line to boot, so more likely to be educated and therefore more likely to be liberal). BUT. I do think it holds out some hope. I'd hate for us to be slated abroad by those who only see Tory Blair and get the headlines from the Sun. We're as a country by no means united in either support of or opposition to this putative vengeance attack (oops - betraying my own prejudice there). The Americans aren't either.
