Cats and Clothing
Jun. 4th, 2003 11:20 amPenny moved in to the flat at the weekend. Hurrah!
We have spent some time watching our two cats circle each other warily and hiss at each other. Neither seems prepared to have a go at the other, but some territorial marking in the bedroom yesterday convinced us that "steps needed to be taken". After a quick call at the vets on the way home, we now have something called Feliway plugged into the hall as a diffuser. It supposedly contains "happy cat" face pheromones (from when they rub chin against things). Hostilities do seem to have scaled down somewhat, whether there is further peeing where it is not wanted we will have to wait and see.
Transylvanian kit is on the way. The living and bed rooms are covered in boxes (though less so than on Sunday afternoon). I spent some time last evening clearing table top and trying to work out how best to cut the nice blue fabric I have for Master Montfitchett's tunic. Eventually I went looking for Aristophanes' one from last event, pinned it to the front of the blue and cut round it. This evening should see it being sewn up and trim added.
Kitchen improvements are now complete. Hallway is nearly there. With a bit of luck and a following wind, we should have most of Penny's stuff unpacked and put away before her mum visits at the weekend (while I'm at NWO).
