Prompted by comments elsewhere about somebody "going to hell (if it exists)"

Two views of hell that I picked up from a (much treasured, long lost) book of catholic jokes.

The archbishop: "Of course I believe in hell. There are too many people I want to put there not to."

The canon lawyer: "Hell must exist as God is all-knowing and all-judging. As to whether there is anybody in hell, don't forget that He is also all-merciful".

I went out for a walk this lunchtime (porting a case of wine from office to car boot). Not only was it sunny, there were birds singing. It's now half four and still daylight, which is a distinct improvement even on last week. Shouldn't be long before I'm picking Penny up in the light and can see the ladies of some repute touting for work as more than mere shadows on the corner of the Square where she works.
