The snot-monster cometh
Feb. 21st, 2005 11:59 amBlegh!
A reasonable evening's roleplaying at Oathsnight and a nice weekend with Pen were supposed to be followed by a fairly hectic week at work. I made it as far as mid-morning Wednesday, when I had to head home with a set of shakes, shivers and aches that signalled my cold was turning into something more.
Thursday and Friday were mostly spent wrapped in blankets feeling very lethargic and somewhat sorry for myself (I never was a very good patient). A real shame, as I missed a rare visit from my ex-boss, dropping over from Luton to clear out his office. By Saturday I was rather better in terms of the "flu-like symptoms", but absolutely drained physically. It was only yesterday that I really started to feel human again. So, back to work this morning, still with a heavy-duty cold and a rasping throat. Onwards.
