Domestic Shenanigans
Apr. 14th, 2005 02:22 pmPen headed home at lunchtime as we've got her sister (plus other half, who's birthday it is today) driving over to stay.
She got back to find kitten mayhem. One of them, probably Cally, had managed to dislodge the door of the games room from its wedge, allowing it to shut. This left Cally inside the room and Josie outside. The pair of them are pretty inseparable, so Pen walked in to find the door shut, a pieously mewling Cally behind it and a rather large amount of shredded carpet where they'd tried to engineer an escape. Good job we weren't both out all day.
Shortly after, Pen rang me again. This is Debbie's first long-distance drive since passing her test and she'd got most of the way over to find the M4 had been shut at the Bath junction because of a crash involving a lorry that needs clearing. No-one seriously hurt in the crash according to the BBC, but a somewhat nervous Debs is now trying to find her way round the Tormarton/Pucklechurch B-roads.
