A good weekend all in all. Spent playing games with a bunch of likeminded people at Maycon. This happened at a reasonable hotel not too close to Heathrow. Thanks to everybody there for sharing good times with us and in particular to queenortart for all the wrangling to get the con on. Really nice to see a certain "Swiss Mercenary" for the first time in years.

I won a satisfying close game of Puerto Rico on Sunday (after being trounced twice earlier in the w/e). Also good was the "Hollywood Lives" freeform on Saturday night, which I ended as the richest producer in town.

We got rid of some of the games we decided were surplus to requirements and I've just ordered some new ones from Leisure Games. Some are stocking up on those that belonged to other people in Bristol (Formula De (the Mini version is the only one currently available) and Bang!); some we were introduced to at the weekend (Niagara and Ticket to Ride).

We're now signed up for Pyrates in November. Back in to work today and I'm taking things slowly.
