In Other News: A Disturbing Encounter.

We'd been down to Walthamstow for a pre-Christmas bash round at Amy's place, she being one of Maddi's friends who we met while out in Turkey for the latter's nuptials. Amy has a very nice flat in the ground floor of a Victorian terrace, which reminds me a bit of my old place in Bristle. A rather jolly evening was had before we toddled back to [livejournal.com profile] pennyanne's Mum and Dad's in the early hours. Anyway, I digress.

After dinner on Sunday we left to head home. Turning onto the High Street in Chadwell Heath we were held up by a slow-moving open-top lorry with a large Christmas scene on the back, playing seasonal music at reasonable volume. Heartwarming, I think. Probably the Round Table or some such charitable organisation out fundraising. Then we saw the BNP logos on the side of it...
