Jools Holland seems to have struck a purple patch of goddesses in this series. Last week it was Patti Smith, tonight I'm watching Joan Armatrading. Some stuff of her new, very very blues album to start with and to come and she's just down a brilliant downbeat version of Love and Affection, long one of my favourite songs.
