The Rugby: Bedford-Coventry
Oct. 6th, 2007 02:47 pmOut along the Goldington Road last night with
oldnick to watch the Blues entertain Cov.
Quite an entertaining game, at that. A lot of the passion and commitment that's been missing from some of the performances in the world cup to date. Cov like to attack, but turned the ball over far too often and gave away a few penalties too many. Their defence close in was good, but against the Bedford backs it wasn't as hot - missed tackles or ones that let them ball be carried another 5 yards before they stuck. Bedford attacked as well, defended better and in honesty deserved to win.
Meanwhile it's halftime in Marseilles. England seem to have found that extra couple of gears for the big match and giving the Aussies a game.
