Constructive and domestic weekend

Sat down and sorted ourselves out with our budgets for clothes, house and garden, so we put aside some cash for Venice in June and start to save for Australia in the autumn
Chopped the lawn at the front of the house.
Popped over to Cribbs on Saturday and bought shoes for me and skirt & trousers for P.
Visited the Garden Centre at Almondsbury and noted down all the things we were interested in (and started to drool over paving for patios, which is probably outside budget for now).
Got home and decided which ones we wanted.
Found that the measurements I'd taken of the garden don't seem to be accurate - doing them again tonight.
Watched Dr Who - fantastic stuff. I'm really enjoying this incarnation.
Finally got round to slapping some more paint about yesterday - Hall now has a first coat of "Gentle Yellow" and looks much better for it. Aiming to finish hall, landings and stairs before heading to Poole on Friday. Probably over-optimistic, but if we do one coat on a section per night we'll have all the areas we mostly use done by the time we've been in the house a year (just games room, guest room, small room and bath to do then).
More clothes shopping in town, or as Penny put it later when she'd calmed down "bra-stropping". Being of a fuller figure, she gets very frustrated that the attractive designs aren't available in the larger sizes.
Too wet to chop the back lawn so went back to the Garden Centre and were good about just buying what was on the list and not being tempted into more. Spent the rest of the daylight potting up when the rain had died off. Under budget, but having worked out what we'd ideally like for a patio, there's some saving or some compromising to be done.
Evening was watching the 100 best albums on Four, with a rather good dinner cooked by Pen.
Tonight is the weekly shop and spending some of the furniture budget, probably followed by more painting with a break for Casanova.
