I am a little surprised, as the chaps from the Black Pear have managed to shoot themselves in the collective feet several times this year. Commiserations to mr_malk
Your commiserations are appreciated! And (slightly through gritted teeth), I must congratulate you for the (relative) success of your chaps. I really don't know what has happened to the Tykes this year, on paper they have arguably the strongest batting lineup in the County Championship, but by and large, it has really failed to fire this year. Likewise, Adil Rashid, after his demolition of Worcestershire back in the first match of the season, has fallen from grace considerably. Even Sidebottom and Shahzad have not really proved an effective attack (although Siders' bowling last week was exceptional, and his rear-guard actions with the bat have salvaged a number of innings from disaster.
Oh well, it's all over for now. I'll just have to hope that they can bounce back next season.
