Disconsolate

Yesterday I was sat cuddling my wife in bright sunshine on marble steps looking at a very pretty view including fountain, shuttered ochre-painted housing blocks and lots of bay trees.

Today it's grey, raining and miserable. Bah!

oh, have oodles of (genuine) sympathy. It's cold and dark and grey and I want to go back to Sorrento where it was warm and sunny and the food tastes better!

We did bring back a nice bottle of bottled Sorrento sunshine to keep us reminded (limoncello).

Damo and I both wish that we were still in Zanzibar!
Dealing with cold and grey and worst of all DARK is utterly depressing!

Would it be entirely tactless to be bouncy about the fact that [livejournal.com profile] ephraim and I are going to Paris on Sunday? It'll probably still be grey and wet, but at least it'll be Paris...

And, apparently, you'll always have it.

Especially as I plan to dismantle the Eiffel tower and bring it home in my hand luggage.

Are you sure you're not Chou En Ginsberg MA (Failed)?

I prefer my innards where they are, thank you.

Surely the lady in question is more suited as Ramona?

Indeed it would not.

Paris is fantastic and I know you'll have a wonderful time.

The only silver lining to that cloud that I can think of is that while it may not be "in bright sunshine on marble steps looking at a very pretty view including fountain, shuttered ochre-painted housing blocks and lots of bay trees" you still have the wife to cuddle :)
